Who We Are
Who We Are
The Bonner Soil and Water Conservation District (Bonner SWCD) is one of 50 Conservation Districts in Idaho.
Soil and Water Conservation Districts throughout Idaho are charged with carrying out programs for the conservation, use, and development of soil, water, and other natural resources.
How We Can Help You
If you are a farmer, rancher, private landowner, or community partner who has soil and water conservation concerns, we can help you. We are a public service that is a sub division of the state, we work directly with the Idaho Soil and Water Conservation Commission and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) locally to provide technical, financial, and educational assistance to Bonner County. We specialize in coordinating and channeling the correct expertise for your property needs. We do this through our extensive partnership at all levels of government.
Our programs provide:
- non-regulatory assistance
- science-based technical assistance
- incentive-based financial programs
- information and educational resources
Traditionally our conservation partners have been primarily farm and ranch operators. Today our customer base is expanding. We are developing new partnerships with individuals, groups, and organizations interested in promoting the wise use of natural resource planning and education.
